He represented the Paraguay national team from 2004 to 2011. Barreto is the brother of fellow Paraguayan goalkeeper Diego Barreto. ==Club career== Barreto started his career with the club Cerro Porteño, debuting in the 2002 season. The following year arrived also debut in the Copa Libertadores. It is noticed by the scouts of the NEC, Dutch club, who in January 2004 to buy it.
